‘Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba’ Pillar Training Edition will start broadcasting on May 12th. With a new video released, ‘Swordsmith’s Village Edition’ special edition will be broadcast for two consecutive nights.

It has been decided that the new version of the popular TV anime “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Pillar Training” will be broadcast on Fuji TV from May 12th. The first PV has also been released, and the first episode will be broadcast as a one-hour special.

It will be broadcast on Fuji TV from 11:15 pm on May 12th and on TOKYO MX, BS11, Gunma TV, and Tochigi TV from midnight on May 18th. In addition, it has been decided that a particular edited version of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba: Swordsmith’s Village Edition” will be broadcast on two consecutive nights. The first night, Enemy Attack Edition,” will be broadcast on May 4th at 7 pm, and the second night, Tsunaida Kizuna Edition,” will be broadcast on Fuji TV from 7 pm on May 5th.

“Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Pillar Training Edition” is an episode that takes place between volumes 15 and 16 of the original comic and tells the story of Tanjiro and his friends receiving training from  the highest-ranking swordsmen and pillars of the Demon Slayer Corps to become even stronger. “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” is based on the same manga, serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from February 2016 to May 2020. It is a famous work that has sold over 150 million copies.

The story is set in a world inhabited by man-eating demons during the Taisho era. Tanjiro Kamado, a boy whose family was killed by demons, sets out to return his younger sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, to a human and to avenge the demon that killed his family—a story about joining the Demon Slayer Corps and going on a journey.

The first season of the TV anime aired from April to September 2019 was a massive success, sparking a social phenomenon. The story continued with the movie’ Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train’, released in October 2020, which was a blockbuster hit, earning over 40 billion yen at the domestic box office. The movie serves as a bridge to the upcoming second season of the TV anime,’ Yukaku Edition,’ which will be followed by the third season,’ Swordsmith’s Village,’ a direct continuation of the second season, set to air in April 2023.
