Hayao Miyazaki’s first feature-length animated film in 10 years, “How do you live?” was released on the 14th. Since the release of only a bird-like poster at the end of last year, the movie has attracted much attention among fans as it was released with almost no prior publicity.

The title was taken from a novel of the same title by Yoshino Genzaburo, who impressed Miyazaki. The running time is 124 minutes.

Director Miyazaki declared retirement from feature animation production with “The Wind Rises,” released in 2013, but later withdrew. Different from the past, the production committee method of partnering with broadcasting stations was not adopted.
