The talk event of “Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045 Sustainable War”, the movie version of the anime “Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045” based on Masamune Shirow’s manga “Ghost in the Shell” will be held on November 19th in Shinjuku Piccadilly (Shinjuku, Tokyo). Haruyasu Makino, producer of Production IG, Tatsuma Furukawa, who was in charge of editing, and Masamune Matsumoto, who was in charge of color grading, appeared at the event. Some “craftsmanship” that creates depth in the video was introduced.
The movie version was reconstructed by adding new scenes to all 12 episodes of Season 1 of “Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045”, directed by Michihito Fujii, such as the movies “The Journalist” and “Yakuza and Family The Family.”.. Mr. Furukawa has also participated in “newspaper reporters” as “Fujii-gumi.” Mr. Matsumoto is also known for working on “Starship Troopers His Red Planet” etc. In this work, he was in charge of color grading to correct the color of the image.
One of the things I was particular about when adjusting the colors was to make it look good in a movie theater. Mr. Matsumoto made the blue sky on the west coast bluer and adjusted the night scene to “It may be pitch black even in a war movie, but can it be made a little easier to see?”, And the impression of the image changed significantly. Rice field. Mr. Furukawa praised Mr. Matsumoto’s “skill” as “tightening and refreshing. The night scene is becoming more colorful. The depth is born.”
When there was an order for “in the morning color” for the evening scene, Mr. Matsumoto adjusted “while dropping the orange, the shadow was bluish, and the sun was yellow,” and so on. “Craftsmanship” was introduced.
“Ghost in the Shell SAC_2045” is an animation directed by Kenji Kamiyama of the “Ghost in the Shell S.A.C.” series and Shinji Aramaki of “Appleseed.” Produced by Production I.G and SOLA DIGITAL ARTS. Season 1 of all 12 episodes has been distributed on Netflix since April. Season 2 production has also been announced. The movie version was released for two weeks, from November 12th.
