It has been decided that Season 2 of the TV anime Douse, Koi Shimaunda, which aired from January to March 2025, will be produced. In conjunction with this, a PV depicting the continuation of the final episode of Season 1 that has just been aired has been released. In addition, an illustration and comment from the original author, Haruka Mitsui, have arrived to celebrate the decision to produce Season 2.
“Douse, Koi Shimaunda.” is a manga by Haruka Mitsui currently being serialized in Kodansha’s monthly magazine “Nakayoshi.” It is a school youth story depicting the love affair between the protagonist, Nishino Miho, and four childhood friends who grew up like family. On July 1, 2020, Mizuho, a second-year high school student, will have the worst possible 17th birthday, as she will no longer have a chance to get closer to the senior she admires, and her parents have completely forgotten her birthday. Moreover, club competitions and school trips have also been canceled due to an unknown infectious disease outbreak. “I thought that there was no such thing as a ‘sparkling youth.'” But then, her childhood friend Kizuki suddenly declares that she is a potential boyfriend.
In conjunction with the decision to produce Season 2 of the TV anime, a PV depicting the continuation of the last episode of Season 1 has been released. In the previous episode, Mizuho is at the airport to welcome Ai back to Japan, and at the same time, a man in a suit appears at the airport. The man, holding a familiar stingray keychain, is the grown-up Kizuki, and the last episode ends with that.
The PV begins with Mizuho, a high school student, looking at her intensely and saying, “I will accept everything because this is the result of my choice.” As if looking back on their days so far, Kizuki, Misaki, Shugo, and Ai express their feelings, and at the end, the “adult” Kizuki says, “I came to see Mizuho.” After watching the last episode, please continue watching the PV. In addition, the original author, Haruka Mitsui, has sent a congratulatory illustration and comment on the decision to produce Season 2.
This is a photo of Mizuho and her four childhood friends, each posing to celebrate. We look forward to hearing more about Season 2 of the TV anime “Douse, Koi Shirunda.” Thank you, original author, Haruka Mitsui, for the decision to make a second season of the TV anime “Douse, Koi Shirunda.”! With the brilliance of their youth in 2020 in their hearts, Mizuho, Kizuki, Mikami, Ai, and Shugo, who have become adults 10 years later, will face love and dreams beyond the framework of childhood friends.
With the light and music unique to anime and the fantastic acting of the cast, I am excited that the second season will also have a dramatic and fresh atmosphere. I hope that viewers will watch the story until the end. Broadcast information: The final episode will be broadcast on BS11 on Sunday, March 30, at 11:30 p.m. Distribution information: All episodes are distributed sequentially on each distribution site.
