The synopsis and preview cuts for episode 17, “800 Million,” of the summer anime series “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” Season 2, which will begin airing on Saturday, August 2, 2025, have been released.
“Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” is a cosplay-sexy story based on the manga by Shinichi Fukuda, which has sold over 13 million copies and was published in Square Enix’s “Young Gangan” and “Manga UP!”. The story follows two opposites: Gojo Niina, a high school boy who aspires to become a “kashirashi” (head maker) who makes faces for Hina dolls, but is out of touch with fashion and struggles to fit in with his class; and Kitagawa Marin, a popular girl at the center of the class. One day, they meet and deepen their bond through cosplay.
The TV anime is being animated by CloverWorks under the direction of Keisuke Shinohara, with Himena Naota as Kitagawa Marin and Shoya Ishige as Gojo Niina. Season 2, the first sequel in nearly three years since Season 1 aired from January to March 2022, sees Umi and Niina, who still have plenty of cosplays they want to try and costumes they want to make, expand their worlds even further as they interact with their classmates and meet new cosplay friends.
Will there be any progress in Umi’s love, which is making Niina’s heart race? Episode 17, “800 Million” Synopsis: Wanting to do what she can for Niina, Umi attempts to make her first bento lunch. When Niina finds out, her mind is drawn to the fried rice she once made.
They both enter lunchtime with different feelings of tension… Preparations for the school festival steadily progress, and Umi, Noha, and the others plan their beauty pageant performance.
