On March 2, the production committee and distributor Toho announced that the release of Studio Ponoc’s theatrical animation “The Imaginary Raja” will be postponed from this summer, which was initially planned. The future release schedule will be announced on Toho’s official website as soon as it is decided.

On the official Twitter of Studio Ponoc, under the name of Yoshiaki Nishimura, the production situation deteriorated due to the influence of Corona’s evil, and it became difficult to maintain and improve the quality during the remaining period, so the production period was extended and released to the theater. The reason for the postponement has been told that he made the decision.

This work is based on the children’s literature “The Imaginary” by AF Harold (Japanese translation “Before I Disappear”, published by Poplar Publishing). Rajar, an invisible boy named “Imaginari”, created by a girl who lost love, challenges his friends in a “fight invisible” to prevent the world of imagination from disappearing. The director is Yoshiyuki Momose.
