This work is set in a world after the final war where humanity has lost its “fire,” the main characters are Touko, an 11-year-old girl, and Kou, a 15-year-old boy. The story depicts how the four struggle to survive despite facing many hardships. As the story unfolds towards its conclusion, how will Touko and Koushi’s fate be led?
Like the first season, the director also worked on “SAMURAI DEEPER KYO” and “Kyokara Maou!” Junji Nishimura, who has worked on films such as “Ghost in the Shell” and Mamoru Oshii, who has worked on “Ghost in the Shell” and “The Sky Crawlers,” will be in charge of the composition and screenplay.

Just like humans, the gods, who are no longer able to use natural fire due to human inflammatory pathogens, create flame demons to keep the abominable fire away.
At the same time that Touko and Koushi learn the truth about the world, the spiders aiming to overthrow the governance of the gods release flames, and a lightning cannon developed by Koushi that shoots powerful lightning strikes a factory.
Various speculations were creeping into the capital, with thunderbolts being installed and used for guidance buried in multiple places. Finally, the artificial star “Flickering Fire,” launched before the final war and has been wandering in the void for a long time, returns.
“The fire hunter who hunted the Millennium Comet (Swaying Fire) will be called the “King of the Fire Hunters.” All the fire hunters in the capital learn of the return of the Millennium Comet, the crescent moon, which is also a keepsake of Koushi’s father.
