by Bringing a wave of nostalgia, the theme song for episode 0 of the new TV anime series “Kinnikuman: Perfect Superhuman Ancestors Arc” will be the iconic “Kinnikuman Go Fight!”-the opening theme (OP) of the TV anime that aired in the 1980s. Kinnikuman, played by Miyano Mamoru, will lend his voice to this classic song, a delightful nod to the series’ rich history.
It was also announced that Takanashi Yasuharu and the band “FLOW” will be in charge of the opening theme, “LOVE & JUSTICE,” and Kinnikuman will be in charge of the ending theme (ED), “Superhuman.”
Kinnikuman Go Fight is reborn in the Reiwa era! New cast members were announced, including Kalek Cook and Tileman Nakano. Additional cast members were also announced, including Atsushi Tamaru as Special Man, Wataru Komada as Canadian Man, Kodai Inaoka as Tile Man, Kentaro Tone as Kalekku, Masayuki Kato as Benkiman, Hideo Ishikawa as Knock, Tetsuya Yanagihara as Kazuo Nakano, and Eriko Kadokura as Kimiko Nakano.
Miyano commented, “I never thought the day would come when I would get to sing “Kinnikuman Go Fight!” so I’m extremely honored! Concerning Akira Kushida, I was asked to sing it as “Kinnikuman,” so I studied “Go Fight!” previously sung by Akira Kamiya and tried my best to capture the essence of Suguru when recording! The ending song, “Choujin,” is a high-pitched melody based on rap, so I was surprised when I first heard the demo.
However, the momentum of this song perfectly expresses “Kinnikuman,” and I think that the new challenge of the song, which is appropriate for the Reiwa era, shows the spirit of the production team. Since it is written as “Kinnikuman” singing, we tried to find a way to make the fans happy by trial and error. I hope you enjoy it!”
Singer Akira Kushida, who sang the original version of “Kinnikuman Go Fight!”, commented, “I’m looking forward to the new Kinnikuman. I can’t wait to hear what kind of sound it will have. It will transcend time and will not only represent Kinnikuman’s strength but also a cool love.” He also said, “Miyano Mamoru, a Kinnikuman fan, will be singing ‘Kinnikuman Go Fight!’ It’s great!
