The fifth episode of the figure skating-themed TV anime “Medalist” (broadcast every Saturday from 1:30 to 2:00 a.m. on TV Asahi and other networks, as well as streaming on Disney Plus’ “Star” and Lemino and other networks) will air on Saturday, February 1st. The synopsis, advance cuts, and web trailer have been released before the broadcast.

It is a story of aiming to become a glorious “medalist.” A young man, Akiura Michiji (CV. Otsuka Takeo), who has failed as a skater, meets Yuzuki Inori (CV. Haruse Natsumi), a girl who aspires to the world of figure skating. Driven by Inori’s hidden obsession with the rink, Tsukasa takes himself as her coach. Inori’s talent blossoms and Tsukasa grows as a coach.

The two team up and strive to become glorious “medalists.” In addition, gold medalist Inozaki Hikaru (CV: Ichinose Kana), known as the “genius girl,” and Olympic gold medalist in men’s singles Yotaka Jun (CV: Uchida Yuuma) have a significant influence on Tsukasa and Inori.

Episode 5 “Meiko Cup Beginner Women’s FS (Part 2)” Synopsis Inori is provisionally ranked first in the beginner class. The final skater, Mike (CV: Kino Hina), aims for a comeback and attempts a double-revolution combination that no one has ever jumped in the beginner class. Mike’s performance, which shows her outstanding sense of rhythm and physical ability, has even her coach, Mario (CV: Toda Megumi), confident.
