This work is a movie adaptation of the manga of the same name by Tsuchika Nishimura, who has been serialized in “Big Comic Special Issue” (Shogakukan) since 2017 and won the “25th Agency for Cultural Affairs Media Arts Festival Manga Division Excellence Award”. It has received much attention from overseas and was officially invited to the Screening Events (special screening) section of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival 2023.
And the “Fantasia International Film Festival,” newly announced this time, is a film festival held in Montreal, Canada, since 1996 and mainly screens works from North America, Europe, and Asia. North America’s largest genre film festival mainly specializes in genre films (action, fantasy, horror, sci-fi, animation, B-movies, etc.).
The Axis division, where this work was exhibited, will be a competitive division for animation works and compete for the “Kon Satoshi Prize,” the best feature animation award. Last year, in the same category, “Goodbye, Don Gries!, “Totsukuni no Shoujo,” and “Inuoh” were exhibited, and “Inuoh” won the Satoshi Kon Award.
This year, it will be held from July 20th (Thursday) to August 9th (Wednesday). In conjunction with the screening, Director Masanori Itazu and Chiyo Morita, who served as character designers and animation directors, will visit the site.
And the new scene photos of this work are also released. The main character, Akino, who got a job as a concierge, has a sparkling smile, the appearance of being glued to a small customer, a slightly timid Japanese wolf facing a proposal, and a sea mink who came to buy a present for his father. Woolly and others are drinking tea, and the expectations for the main story are even higher.
