The TV anime began airing in April 2016. The eighth season of “My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON” began airing in October 2025. Episode 8 (No. 167), “Midoriya Izuku: Rising,” aired on November 22, and drew a tremendous response when Deku finally defeated the Demon King All For One.
Social media was flooded with passionate comments, and “#GoMidoriyaIzuku ” dominated the top spot on X’s trending word rankings immediately after the broadcast began. Furthermore, My Hero Academia-related terms such as “My Hero Academia,” “The Greatest Hero,” “You Say Run,” “Deku,” and “3 more episodes” all ranked highly.
The “Epilogue Visual [Midoriya Izuku]” is an illustration released ahead of the broadcast of Episode 9 (No. 168), “Epilogue/Todoroki Family in Hell: Final,” which aired on November 29.
The illustration features Deku with a refreshing expression, accompanied by the tagline, “This is My Hero Academia.” A preview scene from Episode 9 and a 30-second trailer were also released. The trailer showed the people working together to rebuild and the third-year graduation ceremony at U.A. High School. Furthermore, Todoroki Shoto and his family confront Dabi (aka Todoroki Touya). The Todoroki family drama, a significant turning point in the story, will also reach a proper resolution.
