To express appreciation for the smash hit movie ” Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc, ” as well as the explosive success of its theme song ” IRIS OUT ” and ending theme “JANE DOE,” the “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc Special Fireworks – IRIS OUT / JANE DOE” will be held.
Starting at 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 20th, a five-minute musical fireworks display will be set to music in collaboration with the Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks. The musical fireworks will be narrated by Kikunosuke Toya, who voices Denji in the “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc” movie. Enjoy the special musical fireworks, which will brighten up the night sky to the music of “IRIS OUT” and “JANE DOE,” in collaboration with the “Chainsaw Man: Reze Arc” movie.
The fireworks will be held in Odaiba (launched offshore from the Statue of Liberty) and are free to watch. While there will be no live appearances by the artists or voice actors, this will be a rare opportunity to experience the world of this explosive hit, representing 2025, with narration by Toya Kikunosuke, who plays Denji. Since its release on September 15th, the theme song “IRIS OUT” has been shattering chart records both domestically and internationally. It reached No. 1 on the Billboard JAPAN comprehensive song chart, “JAPAN Hot 100,” with 29,533 points, the highest since the 2023 index change. It also reached No. 1 on the Streaming Songs chart with 28,733,082 plays, setting a new record for the most streams in Japanese song history. After four consecutive weeks at No. 1, it surpassed 100 million streams, achieving the remarkable feat of becoming the fastest song to reach 100 million streams in chart history. On the Oricon weekly streaming rankings, the song recorded 32.199 million weekly streams, setting the record for the highest weekly stream count in Oricon history.
Furthermore, in its ninth week since its release, it has reached a cumulative total of 214.507 million streams, making it the fastest solo artist to reach 200 million streams. It also ranked fifth on the US Billboard Global 200 chart for two consecutive weeks, becoming the highest-ranking Japanese song to do so and setting a new record. “IRIS OUT” has charted on the Spotify Daily Viral Chart in over 50 countries and regions, making it a global hit.
The ending theme, “JANE DOE,” also achieved the remarkable feat of dominating the Billboard JAPAN Streaming Songs chart for nine consecutive weeks, dominating both the first and second places along with the theme song.
The film has grossed 9.1 billion yen and attracted over 5.95 million viewers in Japan in the 67 days since its release on Friday, September 19th, ranking it among the top 70 of Japan’s all-time box-office grosses (as of November 24th, according to Kogyo Tsushinsha). It has been released in over 100 countries and regions, starting in Asia, and is generating excitement worldwide.
