“There Are Too Many Losing Heroines!” is an anime series published in 2021. It is based on a light novel by Amemori Takibi and illustrated by Imigimuru. The story mainly depicts the high school and its surroundings in Toyohashi City, and the city’s scenery and specialty products are detailed.

The mayor of Toyohashi also attends the advanced screening
According to the city, the purpose of this inclusion is “to make the city of Toyohashi known to citizens, as the show will become a catalyst for people outside the city and prefecture to recognize Toyohashi through its broadcast.”

On the broadcast day of each episode, related hashtags have become trending topics on social media, and the show has received a great response. Some viewers have visited the real-life scenes in the show and posted pictures of them on social media. The first four episodes alone depicted scenes such as the “Ekimae” tram stop at JR Toyohashi Station and around Aichi University Station.

The city’s support goes beyond the magazine’s publication. Mayor Yutaka Asai rushed to the event, “Pre-screening in Toyohashi,” held on June 30 before the anime aired. The anime’s official account has introduced these sacred places on a map and released a special video of the show’s cast visiting Genta, drawing attention to the effect of revitalizing the local area through the anime.
