It has been announced that a new TV anime series, “Butt Detective,” based on Troll’s picture book, will be broadcast on NHK Educational TV every Saturday at 9:00 AM from October 4th. New visuals and promotional videos have also been released.
The visual shows Butt Detective and Brown in front of a desk with a piece of paper that reads “Police Detective Headquarters” on it, and behind them are detectives led by the Maltese chief, including Kubifusshi, Koimayu, Permanent, and Mimi Togari, as well as detectives from Maken Police Station, including the Chihuahua chief, Hanagashi, Usumuyu, Straight, and Mimimaru.
The PV includes a scene where Butt Detective makes the surprising line, “Am I in a butt fight with you?”, as well as a depiction of a rivalry between Headmaster Maltese and Headmaster Chihuahua. Other exciting scenes include Butt Detective and his friends facing numerous dangers as bodyguards, adventuring in the desert with his father, Butt Dandy, in search of a mystical plant, and pursuing the mystery of a missing time capsule.
“Butt Detective” is based on a popular picture book that has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. The detective, Butt Detective, whose face resembles a butt, solves complex cases with his catchphrase, “Hmm, it smells.”
