It’s Official! Demon Slayer season 2 is scheduled to be released on December 5, 2021. Season 2 will adapt the “entertainment district arc.” The first episode will be a 1-hour long special.
Before the season 2 release, the “Demon Slayer: Mugen Train” film will be released in episodic form as a separate arc. Mugen Train Arc will have seven episodes scheduled to start airing on October 10. The first episode of the Mugen Train Arc will have brand new material (not included in the film). All other six episodes will also be re-edited to include new scenes and music.
Previously, it was confirmed that Demon Slayer season 2 would be returned either in October or November. Furthermore, the time slot for the episode release has been changed to late-night (11:45 PM). The next arc, “Entertainment Arc,” is on a topic most Japanese parents are uncomfortable talking about. So, a late-night time slot means that anime won’t get censored.
Theme Songs
Lisa will return for the theme songs for Demon Slayer: Mugen Train Arc with the opening theme “Akeboshi” and ending theme ”Shirogane.”
Demon Slayer: Entertainment District Arc will feature theme songs by Aimer, including the opening theme “Zankyosanka” and ending theme ”Asa ga kuru.”
New Cast
Miyuki Sawashiro will voice the new antagonist of “Entertainment District Arc” called Daki. Miyuki is well known in the anime industry for voicing fan-favorite characters like Kurapika from Hunter x Hunter, Koyonagi from Wotakoi, and Bishamon from Norogami.
