All episodes of the first, second, and third seasons of the TV anime Minami-ke have started streaming on YouTube. To commemorate the 20th anniversary of the original manga’s serialization and the decision to produce the long-awaited fifth season of the anime, all episodes are now available for free on Kodansha’s YouTube channel “Full☆Anime TV.”
Minami-ke is a manga by Sakuraba Koharu that has been serialized in Young Magazine since 2004 and has sold over 5 million copies. It depicts the relaxed daily gags of the three Minami sisters: Haruka, the eldest sister who is reliable; Natsuna, the second sister who Chiaki calls the idiot representative of Japan; and Chiaki, the third sister who is an elementary school student who speaks harsh words.
The series will celebrate its 20th anniversary in 2024. At the “Minami-ke 20th Anniversary Tanabata Festival ” held on July 7th to commemorate the 20th anniversary, it was announced that the fifth season of the anime will be produced, which will be the first in about 11 years since the fourth season aired in 2013.
To commemorate this, streaming has begun on Kodansha’s YouTube channel “Full☆Anime TV.” All 13 episodes of season 1 Minami-ke, all 13 episodes of season 2 Minami-ke Okawari, and all 13 episodes of season 3 Minami-ke Okaeri are available for free streaming. Don’t get your hopes up too high. Take this opportunity to see the ordinary daily lives of three unique sisters, full of trouble and laughter, all in one go. Seasons 1, 2, and 3 will all be available for streaming until August 18th.
