Sung Jin Woo, the protagonist of Solo Leveling, replies to threats made online and threatens to alter the famous “Arise” phrase if they continue.

Because of the amazing manhwa artwork, Solo Leveling has a huge fan base even before its anime adaptation.

While the story has drawn new followers with the anime release from Studio A-1 Pictures, longtime fans have also come back online to see their beloved manhwa made into an anime.

“Arise” is among the coolest and possibly most well-known scenes in the whole manhwa genre. For those who are not aware with Solo Leveling’s tale, later on in the story, Sung Jin Woo, the protagonist, is given the ability to command the dead and must raise a shadow army of troops.

Sung Jin Woo awakens the fallen by using the code word “Arise” after vanquishing an adversary.

Many fans were excitedly awaiting the delivery of the dialogue because this is such a famous scene in the series. Regretfully, several fans started pestering Aleks Le, who plays Sung Jin Woo’s English voice, telling him not to fuck up the sentence.

In response to remarks such as “If you don’t say ‘arise’ correctly, I swear I will find you, and after that, even Sung Jin Woo wouldn’t bring you back,” Aleks Le used his TikTok account to confront the threats made online.

Aleks Le said in his video that he would replace the word “arise” with “wake up,” “wakey wakey,” “get up buddy,” or “erect, it’s time for school, get up buddy” if people kept posting these threats in his comments section.

The voice actor encouraged viewers to exercise patience and refrain from overhyping oneself in the last segment of the video. Later on, Aleks Le removed the video from his TikTok profile.

In a rebuttal video posted on TikTok, Aleks stated that he authored more than half of Jinwoo’s statements in the program, including the audios about strength that are now popular on the platform, in response to a comment implying that he lacks the authority to alter dialogues.

Crunchyroll offers the Solo Leveling anime series for viewing with the following description:

They say whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger, but that’s not the case for the world’s weakest hunter Sung Jinwoo. After being brutally slaughtered by monsters in a high-ranking dungeon, Jinwoo came back with the System, a program only he could see, that’s leveling him up in every way. Now, he’s inspired to discover the secrets behind his powers and the dungeon that spawned them.
