The story follows Tacopi, a Happy Planet alien who descends to Earth to spread happiness, as he meets Shizuka, a girl who never smiles. He then uses his magical Happy Gadgets to bring back Shizuka’s smile.
The shocking plot, which begins with bullying and family issues, quickly became a hot topic on social media, recording the highest number of views of any serialized work at the time on “Shonen Jump+” and being selected as the third place in the “This Manga is Amazing! 2023” Men’s Edition.
Although it is completed in two volumes, the total number of copies of the comics printed before the broadcast exceeded 1.45 million, demonstrating its popularity.
