by ABEMA will be broadcasting a free retrospective of all episodes of the anime “Kaiju No. 8,” from the first season to the latest episode of the second season, on Saturday, August 30, and Sunday, August 31.
“Kaiju No. 8” is based on the manga of the same name by Naoya Matsumoto, which was serialized in “Shonen Jump+. ” Set in a world where monsters threaten people daily, the story follows Kafka Hibino, who aspires to join the “Japan Defense Force,” a monster-hunting organization, but gives up on that dream and works in a monster-specializing cleaning business. He is suddenly transformed into a “monster” by a mysterious small monster and is pursued as “Kaiju No. 8.”
The anime is produced through a powerful collaboration between Production IG and Studio Khara. Following the first season in 2024, the second season began airing on July 19, 2025.
The free retrospective broadcast of all episodes of “Kaiju No. 8” will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30, 2025, just before the latest episode of season 2 (episode 7) airs, and at 1:00 a.m. immediately after the broadcast, all episodes of season 1 and the latest episode of season 2 will be broadcast free of charge.
Additionally, all episodes will be available for free streaming from midnight on Sunday, August 24, to midnight on Monday, September 1, meaning all episodes of “Kaiju No. 8” will be accessible for free for approximately one week.
