The “strongest sorcerer,” Satoru Gojo (CV: Yuichi Nakamura), and the “worst sorcerer,” Natsuyu Ketsu (CV: Takahiro Sakurai), originally had a relationship of mutual trust. In the “Kaitama/Tamaori” edition of the anime “Jujutsu Kaisen,” which depicts the two’s student days, the anime-original scene in which they enjoy playing basketball has been described as “It gives off a very youthful feeling,” and “It’s too dazzling.” It attracted attention.
The anime “Jujutsu Kaisen” is based on the manga of the same name by Gege Akutami, which has sold over 90 million copies. The story begins when Yuji Kojo (voiced by Junya Enoki ), who ends up sharing a body with the king of curses, “Ryoumen Sukuuna’, ‘transfers to the “Tokyo Metropolitan College of Curse”, an institution specializing in anti-cursing.
The second season of the anime, which aired from July to December 2023, depicted episodes from the original work, such as “Kaitama/Tamaori” and “Shibuya Incident.” It has already been decided that the sequel, “Shimetsu Kaiyu”, will be produced.
In “Kaitama/Tamaori”, the past of Gojo Satoru and Natsuyou Ketsu, who are currently in a hostile relationship, is revealed. The two were classmates at the Tokyo Metropolitan College of Jujutsu and were once bonded by solid trust.
In the 25th episode, the first episode of “Kaitama/Tamaori,” there was a scene where Gojo and Natsuyu enjoyed playing basketball at the gym. When Gojo complains, “It’s tiring to worry about the weak, it’s true,” Natsuyu says, “Survival of the weak, that’s how society should be,” and “Magic is meant to protect non-jutsu.” I advised you. However, Gojo retorted, “Is that true? I don’t like being right,” “Don’t get comfortable with position talk. Oops~” and took the shot.
In the original manga, the conversation takes place in a classroom, but in the anime, the conversation takes place while playing basketball in a gymnasium. The anime’s original depiction received positive reviews, with comments such as “Satoru’s shitty brat feeling is enhanced in the anime,” “It’s great that he feels so youthful,” and “It’s too dazzling.”
