The main visual and first promotional video for the TV anime “The Hero’s Scum,” based on the original work by Rocket Company and Nakashima 723, have been released. It has also been revealed that the series will air over two consecutive seasons.

It is a supernatural action story set in a world where bounty hunters, known as “heroes,” who defeat the mafia’s demon kings, have become a profession. A high school girl named Jogamine, who claims to be Yashiro’s apprentice hero and claims to be his disciple, appears before him, and they become embroiled in a nasty incident.

The main visual features are Yashiro, Jogamine, and other main characters. Additional cast members have also been announced. Tadokoro Hinata will play Yashiro’s friend, the hero “Salt” Joe; Hirakawa Daisuke will play “Musician” Ishino; and Takato Yasuhiro will play the unlicensed hero “Moguri” Marta. Additionally, the opening theme for the first season will be TOOBOE’s “GUN POWDER,” and the ending theme will be Murasaki Kon’s “Mental Rental.” Comments were also received from the cast, TOOBOE, and Murasaki Kon.

Additionally, the official “Yushan no Scum” account (@yushanokuzu) is running a giveaway campaign where fans can win promotional posters signed by the main cast. Comic Border, the online manga site serializing the “Yushan no Scum” manga, will be holding a campaign to release all episodes from 12:00 noon on December 15 to 11:59 PM on December 17. It was also announced that new editions of the original novel “Yushan no Scum” will be published consecutively in January and February 2026. The anime “Yushan no Scum” will air nationwide on Nippon TV starting January 10, 2026, every Saturday from 12:55 AM. It will also be available for streaming on d Anime Store and Hulu.

Comment from Tadokoro Hinata (Joe of “Salt”): I am thrilled to be voicing Joe this time. He’s an old friend of Yashiro’s, and he mostly talks with him. Every time he appears, he’s joking around, getting angry, or talking earnestly, and I’m trying to capture the unique atmosphere of old friends. Recording hasn’t been completed yet, so I’m looking forward to seeing how he’ll be involved in the story, and I’ll do my best to portray him!

Comment from Hirakawa Daisuke (role of Isinoo in “Music Shop”): I’m Hirakawa Daisuke, who will be playing Isinoo in “Music Shop.” In this work, the so-called heroes don’t look like heroes at all, both in appearance and personality (lol). Among them, Isinoo appears to be a decent guy at first glance, with a relatively neat appearance and a gentle tone, but what kind of person is he really? I hope you’ll tune in to find out. It feels different from any of the other works, and personally, I find it quite addictive and interesting! Please check it out!

Comment from Takato Yasuhiro (role of Marta in “Moguri”): Hello everyone. I’m Yasuhiro Takato, voice of Marta in “Moguri.” Marta is still full of mysteries, and even as I’m acting, I really don’t know the answer. However, the moment I saw the character’s face, I found myself laughing because I looked so similar to him, and it was strange to me that the lines came out so naturally. How has it reached everyone? I’m working hard with that in mind. Thank you for your continued support!!

TOOBOE Comment: I’m pleased to be performing the opening theme song for the TV anime “The Brave Scum.” “GUN POWDER” refers to gunpowder, and I imagined a work in which the story unfolds with a trivial
trigger.

The trigger for injecting E3 is, of course, the trigger of conversation, the trigger of encounters, and the flow of various events leads to Yashiro and his friends developing a master-disciple relationship and hostile relationships. I created a funny song about their strange fate, in which they have no choice but to live while being caught up in the significant distortions of time. Thank you.

Murasaki Kon Comment: Nice to meet you. I’m Murasaki Ima, and I’ll be singing the ending theme for “The Hero’s Scum.” I’m truly honored to be in charge of the theme song. I created this song to show how Aki’s positive outlook shapes Yashiro’s inner darkness and how he struggles with his own growth. I hope you enjoy it as much as the anime! TV anime “The Brave Scum.”
