“Berserk” is a dark fantasy depicting the fierce life of the main character, Guts, set in a world where swords, magic, and monsters exist. In “Berserk Golden Age Arc MEMORIAL EDITION,” one of the famous scenes of the original that was not released in theaters in 2012, “Yume no Kagaribi,” and other gems of the original, were created by chief animation director Naoyuki Onda, just like in the theatrical version. And added as a new cut.
The released main visual is also drawn by Naoyuki Onda, and hundreds of existing cuts have been reworked and upgraded as remasters. Director Yuta Sano also commented, “While keeping the charm of the movie version, we aimed to express the rich character depictions of the original work more deeply by adding additional scenes and corrections. I hope I can convey my charm,” he commented.
