The jacket visual for the final Blu-ray and DVD volume 7 of the TV anime Furieren (on sale July 17th) has been released. It showcases unique features that captivate fans.

The final volume features a ‘new party’ consisting of Freiren, her apprentice Fern, and the warrior Stark. This significant development in the storyline is visually represented in the impressive visual of the three of them, reminiscent of the final scene of the 28th episode, ‘It’ll be embarrassing when we meet again,’ which is included in this volume.

“Funeral of Frieren” Blu-ray & DVD will be released in 7 volumes. Each volume will include a 24-page booklet containing setting materials and interviews, a newly drawn colored paper by Abe Tsukasa, a set of illustrations and original postcards (10 pieces) as a first-run limited edition bonus, and a storage box designed with newly drawn visuals of all eight characters as a manufacturer’s bonus for those who purchase all volumes.

“Funeral of Frieren” is based on the same manga serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday” since April 2020. It is a “sequel fantasy” that depicts what happens after the hero and his party defeat the Demon King. The story is about the magician elf.

Frieren and her new companions embark on a new adventure in a world after the hero’s death. The story unfolds in a novel timeline “after the defeat of the Demon King”, and the characters’ stories, including heart-wrenching dramas and lines, magic and sword battles, and humor that will make you laugh, have won many readers.

This famous work won the grand prize at the Manga Taisho 2021 Awards, and the comics have sold over 21 million copies. A TV anime adaptation will air from September 2023 to March 2024.
