The new anime series, Atashinchi, will start distribution in June. New episodes will be released on the 5th of every month for five consecutive months.

The highly anticipated new anime series Atashinchi will premiere on the widely popular streaming platform YouTube at 6:30 p.m. on June 5.

Since its inception in May 2020, the official ‘Atashinchi’ YouTube channel has been a hub for the main anime series and exclusive content. Beloved by a diverse audience, this channel recently celebrated a milestone, surpassing 1 million subscribers on January 2, 2024.

The work is based on a manga that appeared in the Sunday edition of the Yomiuri Shimbun in 1994. It became famous for its humorous portrayal of the family’s joys and sorrows, centered around the main character, Atashi (Mikan), a high school student from the Tachibana family.

This famous work won the “Bungei Shunju Manga Award” in 1996 and was later adapted into a TV anime and an animated film. It was serialized in the Yomiuri Shimbun for 17 years and ten months, ending on March 11, 2012. Serialization resumed in December 2019.
