Movie cards for the movie “THE FIRST SLAM DUNK,” a new animated adaptation of Takehiko Inoue’s basketball manga “SLAM DUNK,” will be released on September 16th.
There are five types of movie cards limited to theaters and mail orders: Ryota Miyagi, Kotobuki Mitsui, Kaede Rukawa, Hanamichi Sakuragi, and Takenori Akagi. Each character visual is printed, and the card pattern can be selected.
It will be sold nationwide in screening theaters (excluding some theaters) and at significant mail-order sites (no benefits)—1900 yen for adults and 1000 yen for children.
In addition, ‘Convenience store limited movie cards with original goods’ will be sold exclusively at 7-Eleven (Seven Net Shopping), Lawson (@Loppi, HMV & BOOKS online), and Family Mart. Miyagi, Mitsui, Rukawa, Sakuragi, and Akagi are drawn on one sheet, and two types of original goods, an acrylic board and a cloth poster will be developed. Cloth poster + movie card is 3,550 yen for general, 2,650 yen for children, acrylic board + movie card is 5,200 yen for general, 4,300 yen for children.
“SLAM DUNK” was serialized in “Weekly Shonen Jump” from 1990 to 1996 and is a monumental basketball manga with over 120 million copies sold in Japan. The TV animation broadcasted from 1993 to 1996 was a big hit, and from 1994 to 1995, theatrical movies “SLAMDUNK,” “SLAMDUNK Nationwide Conquest! Sakuragi Hanamichi”, “SLAMDUNK Shohoku’s Biggest Crisis! Burn Sakuragi Hanamichi”, “SLAMDUNK Bare Roe.” Basketball Spirit!! Hanamichi and Rukawa’s Hot Summer” was also released.
The new animation “THE FIRST SLAM DUNK” is directed and scripted by the original author Mr. Inoue, the character design and drawing director is Yasuyuki Ehara of “Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress,” and the art director is “Dragon Ball Super.” ) Kazuo Ogura of “Broly” is in charge. They were released on December 3rd.
