After waking up from cold sleep, protagonist Akira travels with Yugure, an android who looks exactly like his former lover, Towasa, and ponders the nature of love in a new era. Shuichiro Umeda, Yugure by Yui Ishikawa, and Towasa by Ai Kayano play Akira.
The second promotional video focuses on key points in the story and Akira and his friends’ adventures in the future world. Akira suspects that Towasa and Yugure have a connection after Yugure finds out that Akira once gave her a ring. When Yugure asks Akira about his relationship with Towasa and why he was created, Yugure evades the question, citing taboo.
Furthermore, Towasa sends a cryptic message: “Don’t ever look for me,” and the ominous phrase “AI war” appears. Akira and Yugure encounter various people on their journey to find Towasa, pondering the diverse nature of love. The ending theme will be “Two of Us” sung by Hana Hope. Hana Hope commented, “I hope I can empathize with those who feel a little uncomfortable with the societal values that say ‘this is right.'” A portion of “Two of Us” can also be heard in the second promotional video.
