by It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime ” Hell’s Paradise,” based on the manga by Kaku Yuuji that was serialized on Shueisha’s manga app “Shonen Jump+,” will begin airing in January 2026.
A teaser PV featuring new scenes from the second season has been released on YouTube. The footage shows Sagiri and his friends heading deep into the mysterious land of immortals, as well as action scenes and Yamada Asaemon Shugen and other new executioners landing on the island.
The announcement was made at Jump Festa 2025,held at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City). Makoto Koichi, who voices Nurugai, watched the teaser PV on stage and commented, “I’m looking forward to seeing how new characters such as Shugen will appear and what they’ll do.” Yumiri Hanamori, who voices Yamada Asaemon Sakichi, sent a message to fans saying, “I can’t wait for it to be released finally. I want to persevere through this and produce something that shines as a person.”
Makita Kaori commented, “Thank you to everyone who watched the first season of Jigokuraku and to everyone who is waiting for the second season. I am happy to be involved in the story of Gamimaru and the others again.
The characters in the first season each survived despite their struggles. How should I portray their changes in heart this time?… How should I describe that scene from the original? I am back to thinking about Gamimaru and the others every day. It was also announced that Jigokuraku’s first original app game, Jigokuraku Paradise Battle, will be released in 2025.
“Jigokuraku” was serialized in “Shonen Jump+” from January 2018 to January 2021. Set in the late Edo period, the story follows the strongest ninja, Gamimaru, who was captured after being betrayed by his comrades. He fights monsters in search of the elixir of immortality to be freed and reunited with his beloved wife—the first season of the TV anime aired from April to July 2023.
