This work will also see the addition of “I Want to Become the Hero in the Shadows!” Along with the announcement, a teaser visual was released, bringing together the protagonists of the popular otherworldly anime. Congratulatory comments were also received from the 11 cast members who play the protagonists and heroines of each work.
“Isekai Quartet” is a crossover anime in which five popular otherworldly works, “Overlord,” “KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World!,” “Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-,” ”Saga of Tanya the Evil,” and “The Rising of the Shield Hero,” are transformed into petit character anime and go wild. The first season of the TV series began in 2019, and the second season, which included “The Rising of the Shield Hero,” was released in 2022.
The third season, “Isekai Quartet 3,” will feature the new addition of “I Want to Become the Rising of the Shield Hero!” depicting an unprecedented school life with a total of over 70 characters. The production will be handled by the staff who have led the petit character anime world since the first and second seasons. The film is directed and written by Minoru Ashina, with character design and general animation director Minoru Takehara, and animation produced by Studio PuYUKAI.
The teaser visual, released alongside the announcement, features the main characters of a popular otherworldly anime and has the theme “It’s a Petit Singing.” Ainz from Overlord, Kazuma from KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World!, Subaru from Re: ZERO -Starting Life in Another World-, Tanya from Saga of Tanya the Evil, and Naofumi Iwatani from The Rising of the Shield Hero are depicted holding microphones. Cid Kagenou/Shadow from I Want to Become the Hero in the Shadows, who is a newcomer this season, is playing the piano as a “shadowy power.”
In addition, congratulatory comments were also received from a total of 11 cast members who play the protagonists and heroines of each work, including Hino Satoshi, Fukushima Jun, Kobayashi Yusuke, Yuki Aoi, Ishikawa Kaito, Yamashita Seiichiro, Hara Yumi, Amamiya Sora, Takahashi Rie, Hayami Saori, and Seto Asami.
