“Theatrical Version Sword Art Online Progressive Dark Dusk Scherzo” will be screened exclusively at IMAX theaters nationwide from October 21st, the day before the public release date. In addition, admission benefits for the first week of the release were also announced.
“Sword Art Online Progressive” is based on the famous fantasy novel “Sword Art Online” by Reki Kawahara, which has sold over 30 million copies worldwide. From the perspective of Asuna, the partner of the main character, Kirito, the trajectory of the adventure that began on the first layer of Aincrad is redrawn in a completely new animation.
In October 2021, the first “Aria of the Starless Night” was released, and in the second “Scherzo of the Dark Dusk,” Kirito and his friends challenge the 5th layer of Aincrad.
The admission privilege for the first week of the release from October 22nd to 28th (including IMAX advance screening) is a mini colored paper-style portrait drawn by character designer Kento Toya. One of the two types will be randomly distributed.
In addition, a lineup of goods sold at the theater, such as B2 tapestries and weapon metal charms, has also been announced.
