“Dandadan” is based on a popular manga by Tatsuyuki Shin, which is currently being serialized in “Shonen Jump +” (Shueisha). It is an occult battle and youth story in which Momo (Ayase Momo), a high school girl born into a family of spiritualists, and her classmate Okarun (Takakura Ken), an occult maniac, challenge the approaching supernatural.
When the first season of the TV anime was broadcast in October 2024, the unusual battles and deep story, with its occult theme, immediately became a hot topic, and the cumulative number of copies of the original work exceeded 10 million. The second season is scheduled to begin airing in July 2025, and much attention is being paid to the new battles of Momo, Okarun, and friends.
Abema will broadcast the series for free on the “ABEMA Anime Channel” every Thursday from 1:00 am starting July 3, 2025 (Thursday), and will also begin streaming the latest episodes for free. The second PV was also released the other day.
