The TV anime “When I Reincarnated, I Was the Seventh Prince, So I’ll Master My Magic!” will start airing in April. The additional cast, staff, key visuals, and main PV have been released simultaneously.
When I was reincarnated, I was the seventh prince so that I would master magic freely.” This is based on the novel of the same name by Humble Circle. A magician who was not gifted in magic and died a tragic death is reincarnated as Lloyd, the seventh prince of the Salum Kingdom with a solid magical pedigree, and masters his magic while meeting various friends. A comic version is also currently being serialized in Magazine Pocket.
The TV anime, which will be broadcast in April, will be produced by Tsumugi Akita Anime Lab, with Makoto Koichi playing Lloyd and Fairuz Ai playing Grimo, the familiar. Three additional cast members were announced: Lynn, Akira Sekine, and Rie Takahashi. Lynn will play the role of Sylpha, Lloyd’s tutor; Sekine will play the role of Tao, an adventurer and user of “Kijutsu,” and Takahashi will play the role of Ren, a poison user from the Assassin’s Guild. Also, in the first episode, Akio Otsuka will appear in the role of Grimoire before Grimo’s transformation.
In addition to Lynn, Sekine, and Takahashi, we received comments from Koichi and Fairuz, who were already reported to be appearing. As for the staff, it has been revealed that Naoki Totsuka, the series composer and scriptwriter, and Sei Nishikori, the character designer and chief animation director, will be participating. In addition, Lantis is in charge of music production, and Kaede Higuchi sings the opening theme song. Akane Kumada’s “Happy no Himitsu” has been chosen as the ending theme song for “Kyunrias.” A portion of “Kyunrias” is released in advance in this PV. Lloyd and other unique friends appear one after another, and you can also hear their character voices.
The critical visual also features Jade, the leader of the “Assassins Guild” made up of bounty hunters, along with the characters whose cast has been announced this time. Jade’s cast will be revealed at a later date. Comment from Makoto Koichi (Lloyd D’Saloum): When I read the manga version of The Seventh Prince, I was blown away by the harshness of the amount of writing, the punchy personality of the main character, and how engaging the development was. I couldn’t stop reading it.
The work has finally become an anime! I’m looking forward to it. Lloyd-kun, who I will be playing, is a boy who loves magic to the point of madness. I have no interest in anything other than magic, and I don’t have any flags with cute girls. I dedicated to magic for ten years (+ previous life). But he’s a hero! Lloyd is flat…Loid is crazy…Lloyd suddenly becomes small. His behavior is one of the charms of this work! There are so many things I want to say, but I need more characters! Please take a look at them as they become animated! Comment from Fairouz Ai (Grimo): The broadcast date of the TV anime is getting closer, and I’m excited, too! This work was very appealing because there was no bias in the characters’ attributes, and a wide variety of characters, each of whom used their strengths and likes, and even their complexes, as weapons to bring them to life. Each viewer will be able to find their favorite character. Besides, the comical expression is the best! Please look forward to it!! Comment from Lynn (Sylpha): When I read the original work, I was impressed by how the story progressed, the characters’ shining personalities, and most importantly, even though it was set within the familiar framework of “reincarnation.”
The mysterious power of the main character, Lloyd, is very appealing, and it is an exciting work. I had a strong desire to participate, so I’m thrilled to be given the role of Sylpha. This person is also exciting and worth playing with. She seems like an extreme and calm maid, but her doting love for Lloyd transforms her in many ways.
There are many comical scenes, so I tried to do my best with the acting to avoid giving in to the face acting. This is a work that I hope everyone will enjoy watching. Please look forward to it! Comment from Akira Sekine (voice of Tao): My name is Akira Sekine, and I will be playing the role of Tao. I had been reading the comics before the audition, so when I was told I had gotten it, I was thrilled and excited to record it! This is a work that features many beautiful characters with their quirks! Tao-chan is also a cute, strong, always straightforward, and charming girl whose expressions and emotions constantly change. She will do her best with Tao-chan! Everyone, please look forward to it!

Comment from Rie Takahashi (Ren): I was introduced to this work during the audition and immediately captivated by the innocent and powerful Lloyd, who moves around the pages. As a reader, I was smiling and enjoying the story as I followed Lloyd with my eyes, but when Ren and the others appeared, I couldn’t read it without crying. I’m thrilled to be able to express this episode as Ren’s voice, and I’m also happy to weave it together with such reliable actors.
The video is also full of beautiful and fun artwork that incorporates the charm of the original work and the comic. I couldn’t help but look forward to seeing it completed, even during the dubbing process! It’s a catchy and fun piece that will make you laugh, cry, and sad! I appreciate your support of the anime! Comment from Kaede Higuchi: I will be responsible for the opening theme song.
The world of the Seventh Prince is sparkling and colorful, and there are many exciting events every day! I’ve captured those heart-warming moments in my daily life in this song. I hope you enjoy it along with my work. Thank you very much for your support! I want to be able to use fire-based magic someday! Comment from Akane Kumada: My name is Akane Kumada, and I will be in charge of the ending theme song for the TV anime “When I Reincarnated, I Was the Seventh Prince, So I’ll Master My Magic at Will.”
The lyrics link the feelings of the girls who love the main character, “Lloyd,” who is passionate about magic and straightforward about what he likes, my love for songs, and the “gutsy spirit” that will not give up on making his dreams come true. I’m here! I hope everyone who listens to this song will have the courage to try what they love. If you fail a little bit, say “Que Sera Sera♡” to yourself, and I hope your heart will feel lighter. I sang it with all my heart! When we sing live, I want everyone to snap their foreheads together. Please look forward to the theme song and the main story!!
