‘Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2’ starts on January 12, 2025! ‘Three Clock Keepers’ PV released, advance screening also held

It has been announced that the second season of the TV anime Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun, “Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun 2,” will be broadcast on 28 TBS-affiliated stations nationwide from January 12, 2025. In conjunction with this, the promotional video for “The Three Clock Keepers” and new character visuals have been released. Information about the opening theme, which Masayoshi Oishi will perform, will also be released following the first season. A preview screening will be held on December 14.

“Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun” is a “heartwarming toilet comedy” based on the manga by Aida Iro. It is currently being serialized in the monthly “G Fantasy” and has sold over 10 million copies. The story depicts the occult girl Nene Yashiro, who loves spells and fortune-telling, being manipulated by the sadistic and slightly naughty ghost of a boy, Hanako-kun, and getting caught up in various ghost stories.

After the first season of the TV anime aired from January to March 2020, an anime restart project was announced for the winter of 2022. The first part of the project was the short anime ” Hanako-kun After School ” episodes 1 to 4, which was broadcast in October of the same year, and the second part, a sequel of four episodes, was broadcast on TV and distributed globally for four weeks in October 2024. New information on the second season, which will be the third part of the anime project, was announced at the “TV Anime Toilet-Bound Hanako-kun AGF2024 Stage” event held on November 9. The promotional video for “The Three Clock Keepers” and two character visuals of Akane Aoi, played by Shunichi Toki, was released along with the announcement of the broadcast start date.

It was also revealed that the opening theme will be “L’oN” by Masayoshi Oishi, who will be in charge of the theme for the first season. Oishi also commented: A preview screening will be held at Grand Cinema Sunshine Ikebukuro in Tokyo on December 14. Ogata Megumi (Hanako-kun, Tsukasa), Kito Akari (Yahiro Nene), Chiba Shoya (Minamoto Mitsuru), and Toki Junichi (Aoi Akane) are scheduled to appear at the event.
