About “16bit Sensation”
“16bit Sensation” is a doujinshi distributed at Comic Market 96 by Misato Mitsumi, Kanroju (Aqua Plus), and Tamiki Wakaki (manga artist). Set in Akihabara in the 1990s, it created a buzz by depicting the changes in the production of bishoujo games and the changes in the culture and movement of the world surrounding them, with the story of the characters centering on the main character, Meiko Uehara. The doujinshi has been sold for up to 6 episodes, and KADOKAWA Co. is publishing a book, Ltd. 2 volumes have already been published.

TV animation of “16bit Sensation” was lifted at Comic Market 101 in December 2022. It was announced that the title would be “16bit Sensation ANOTHER LAYER”. The story of this work is an entirely original anime version in which the original author Tamiki Wakaki also participated.
