This TV anime adaptation of the manga of the same name by author Uo Yutaka, which has won numerous awards, including the Manga Grand Prize at the 26th Tezuka Osamu Cultural Prize, tells the story of those who risk their beliefs and lives to prove the heliocentric theory.
Voice actors include Maaya Sakamoto as the child prodigy Rafau, Kenjiro Tsuda as the heretic examiner Novak, Shou Hayami as the mysterious scholar Hubert, Katsuyuki Konishi as the substitute fighter Okuji, Yuichi Nakamura as the monk Badeni, and Saya Niimi as the astronomy research assistant Yolenta. In episode 5, “The world will continue even if I die,” Glass, influenced by the words of the heretic, abandons his mission and becomes hostile towards Novak.
Okuji, who gets caught up in the situation, is shocked by the heretic’s desperate actions. Oxy and Glass, who barely escaped with their lives, follow the heretic’s advice and discover an old stone box deep in the mountains. Glass says he knows someone who might see the value of the contents. Oxy wants to return to his old life, but a particular situation forces him to decide whether he likes it.
