Kurogane Yaiba trained in the jungle to become a true samurai. He returns to Japan by chance and stays with the Mine family, who are connected to his father, Kenjuro. Sayaka, the daughter of the Mine family, is confused by Yaiba’s unconventional behavior but begins living with him.
One day, Yaiba visits Sayaka’s school and has a fateful encounter with Onimaru Takeshi, a skilled kendo practitioner. After that, Yaiba and Onimaru repeatedly clash, and as if responding to the two’s desire for strength, an ancient power awakens.
