The TV anime series “Yomi no Tsugai,” based on the latest work by Hiromu Arakawa, creator of “Fullmetal Alchemist,” will air for two consecutive seasons starting in April 2026.
Currently serialized in the monthly magazine “Shonen Gangan” (Square Enix), this fantasy is a mix of mystery and the supernatural. The same powerful collaboration will produce the TV anime as the “Fullmetal Alchemist” anime series: Square Enix, Aniplex, and Bones.
The main staff includes talented creators such as director Masahiro Ando (“Stranger: Mukou-jin-tan,” “Zetsuen no Tempest”), series composition by Noboru Takagi (“Durarara!!,” “Golden Kamuy”), character designer and animation director Nobuhiro Arai (“Bungo Stray Dogs”), and music by Kenichiro Suehiro (“Re: Zero − Starting Life in Another World,” “Golden Kamuy”).
The cast includes Ono Kensho as the protagonist Yuru, Miyamoto Yume as Asa, Nakamura Yuichi as Dela, and Kuno Misaki as Gabu-chan. The teaser PV also released shows how Yuru, who was born deep in the mountains as one of twins whose days are different from nights, led a peaceful life, but is suddenly caught up in a battle, and his fate is shaken, along with some spectacular action scenes.
