Black Pink, Billboard’s main chart ‘Hot 100’ charted for six weeks in a row.

The group BLACKPINK has been on the US Billboard’s main chart, Hot 100, for 6 weeks in a row.

According to the latest chart released by Billboard on the 4th (local time), the title song ‘Shut Down’ of BLACKPINK’s 2nd regular album ‘BORN PINK’ and the pre-release song ‘Pink Venom’ was ranked 67th and 87th respectively on the Hot 100.

Along with ‘Shutdown’, which entered 25th place last week, ‘Pink Venom’ held its position for a whopping 6 weeks. In particular, ‘Pink Venom’ went straight to 22nd, the highest ranking of a K-pop girl group single song in the first week of release, and consistently showed off its potential at the top.

Blackpink’s status is even more prominent on the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global (Excl. ‘Shut Down’ and ‘Pink Venom’, which took first and second places respectively on this chart last week, succeeded in maintaining the top 10 by climbing to 4th and 10th this time as well.

On the Billboard 200, another main chart, the 2nd regular album ‘Born Pink’ settled in 4th and maintained the top 5 for 2 weeks in a row. Previously, this album won the No. 1 title for the first time in 14 years and 5 months as a global female group.

BLACKPINK is exerting unrivaled influence not only on Billboard but also on various global music charts. Along with the US Billboard, it topped the UK Official Chart, which is called the world’s two largest charts, and the Weekly Top Songs chart of Spotify, the world’s largest streaming site.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK will open the world tour ‘Born Pink’ at KSPO DOME, Olympic Park, Seoul on October 15th and 16th. They will move to North America, Europe, Asia, and Oceania, attracting a total of 1.5 million viewers, the largest in the history of a K-pop girl group.
