The ‘2021 K-Pop Cover Dance Festival in Thailand’, the world’s largest cover dance event for Hallyu fans worldwide who love ‘K-pop,’ was held with great success. The title was won by the five-member female cover team ‘The Emperors,’ which covered Itzy’s ‘LOCO.’
The event was held with great success at the Virtual Studio on the 14th at 2 pm (local time) hosted by the Seoul Newspaper, the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand (President Jae-il Cho), and the Korea-Thailand Exchange Center (CEO Lee Yoo-Hyeon), the organizers announced on the 22nd. Cover dance refers to imitating a singer’s song, dance, facial expression, etc., in the same way.
The K-pop cover dancers who passed the fierce preliminaries participated and showed their passionate passion. The five-member female cover team ‘The Emperors,’ who covered Itzy’s ‘LOCO,’ a popular song of K-pop fans, won the championship.
Cho Jae-il, director of the Korean Cultural Center in Thailand, said, “There seem to be many talented dancers in Thailand. Hong Ji-hee, president of the Korea-Taiwan Exchange Center, also said, “I hope that Thai teams with outstanding skills will enjoy each other and encourage each other.”
This year, the 11th K-Pop Cover Dance Festival is the world’s first and world’s most extensive K-Pop online and offline Hallyu fan communication program.
It is being evaluated as a K-pop campaign aimed at communicating and empathizing with Hallyu fans and contributing to the continuous spread of Hallyu culture.
The winning teams from each country will be invited to the final finals of the World Finals and enjoy a stage of hot exchange with K-pop fans around the world.
