In two volumes, a 4K digitally remastered version of ” Manga Nihon Mukashibanashi ” will be released on January 25, 2023.

Broadcast from 1975 to 1994, this TV animation won numerous awards, including the Ministry of Health and Welfare Child Welfare Cultural Award and the Agency for Cultural Affairs Outstanding Film Award. Etsuko Ichihara and Fujio Tsuneda acted as narrators.

Volume 1 includes Kobutori Grandpa ”, Kasa Jizo ”, Yatsugake Hood ”, Tongue Cutting Sparrow ”, Monkey Battle ”, Tanokyu ”, Bunbuku Chagama ”, Fire Man ”, Momotaro ”, Mametsubu Korokoro”, “Tail Fishing,” ” Yuki-Onna, “and Volume 2 includes “Buying Dreams,” “Three Years Netaro,” “Ticking Mountain,” “Tenfuku Chifuku,” “Tsuru no Ongaeshi,” “Tanishi Choja,” ” Includes sparrows, woodpeckers, and pigeons, Kaguya-hime, Hanasaki-jiisan, Shiofukiusu, Urashima Taro, and Warashibe Choja.

The ending theme is not only “Ningen te Iina,” but the first broadcast, “Grupper’s Song” (sung by Keeper Mates), will be recorded for the first time. In addition, as a first-time production limited benefit, a particular outer case that can store the 1st and 2nd volumes together will be included with the 1st volume, and a unique postcard set will be included with the 2nd volume.
