“Zenshu.” is an original TV anime produced by MAPPA. The central staff includes director Mitsue Yamazaki, scriptwriter Kimiko Ueno, character drafter Yoshiteru Tsujino, and designer Kayoko Ishikawa. The protagonist is Natsuko Hirose, who became an animator after graduating high school and quickly made her directorial debut.
In the first teaser PV, she was shown doing retakes (redoing and giving instructions) on the original drawings that had been submitted. “Zenshu.” means all retakes, which means all corrections. It was announced that the series would begin broadcasting in January 2025.
The second teaser PV was also released. It has an entirely different impression from the first teaser PV released in March 2024. It is likely the content of the in-game anime “A Perishing Story,” whose poster also appeared in the first trailer, and it is a continuous string of desperate scenes. Is this simply a development within the story, or is it a hint at something in the real world?
