The release of the Chinese mythical battle fantasy Nata: The Demon Child of the Sea has been decided.

Nata, who was supposed to become a sage if raised, was born with the fate of becoming a demon king who would cause chaos in the world due to someone’s conspiracy. Raised under his parents’ love and growing up little by little, Nata becomes best friends with Ao Bing, the son of Ao Guang, the Dragon King of the East Sea, but the two are destined to face further trials.

The main character of this work is Nata, a mythical character who appeared in the Chinese classic novels ” Engi: The Engishin ” and ” Journey to the West “. When it was released in China as a sequel to “Nata: The Demon Child of the Sea,” the cumulative box office revenue by March 2nd was about 14.5 billion yuan (about 300 billion yen). In North America, it was in the top 10 of the weekly box office rankings for three consecutive weeks, and its worldwide box office revenue surpassed “Insight Head 2,” “The Lion King,” and “Frozen 2,” becoming the highest-grossing animated film of all time.

In response to this success, a Japanese-subtitled version will be released nationwide. Before this, a Chinese audio/Chinese and English-subtitled version will be released in an emergency limited release at about 30 theaters nationwide (more theaters will be added sequentially).
