by The new TV anime “Chi. About the Earth’s Movement” will be broadcast on NHK General TV in October 2024. It has released a preview and synopsis of the 24th episode, which is scheduled to air today, March 8th (Sat).
NHK also announced that it will start rebroadcasting this work in April 2025. The rebroadcast will be on NHK Educational TV in two weekly slots. The broadcast schedule is every Saturday from 9:15 p.m. and every Wednesday from 0:00 a.m. (late night on Tuesday).
The Saturday broadcast will start on April 5th, and the Wednesday broadcast will begin on April 9th. In addition, it was announced that Shoya Ishige, who appeared in episode 23, will play Alberto, a young baker. Atsumi Tanezaki will play Alberto’s childhood self, who appears in episode 24.

What were your thoughts on reading the original work and script as a student? I loved ethics classes and reading philosophy books. I remembered those times while reading. My head felt like the universe, my heart was warm, and I was excited.
About the character Alberto: Due to a specific childhood experience, he has locked away his overflowing intellectual curiosity, but by regaining his true self, the baton is passed on again. He is an essential character in the heliocentric theory.

Episode 24, “Thomas Zein,” synopsis and scene cuts released! It is set in 1468 in an urban area of the Kingdom of Poland. While working at a bakery, young Albert could not give up his dream of astronomy. One day, an enigmatic priest at church urges him to confess, and he begins to talk about his childhood.

Thoughts on reading the original story and script: The events in the story and the time in which they occur are not something I could ever experience. Still, they felt very close to me for some reason, and I felt a strange sensation. I am not very knowledgeable, and there are many things I do not know, but as I read, I empathized with the actions and emotions of the characters.
The character Alberto Alberto, a young man who first appears, is very resigned due to an incident in his childhood. He suppresses his natural thoughts, curiosity, inquisitiveness, and interests and believes that knowing anything is harmful. However, even in that situation, he can make choices in line with his values. He is that kind of person.
