The first episode will be broadcast on NHK General TV on June 28. In Sandland, a country of desert and wilderness, human sheriff Lao comes to the village of monsters in search of a “phantom spring” to save the people suffering from a water shortage. There, Lao sets out on an adventure with the help of Beelzebub, the prince of demons, and Thief, who is knowledgeable and good at stealing.

However, various difficulties await them, such as dangerous creatures in the desert and bandits. “SAND LAND: THE SERIES” is produced by three companies: Sunrise, Kamikaze Douga, and ANIMA. It will comprise a total of 13 episodes, divided into two chapters: “The Devil Prince Arc” and “The Angel Hero Arc”.

The “Demon Prince Arc” from episodes 1 to 6 is a reconstruction of the “SAND LAND” film, which was released in theaters in the summer of 2023, with the addition of previously unreleased scenes and new scenes. The “Angel Brave Arc” from episodes 7 to 13 depicts the latest adventures of Beelzebub and his friends, set in Forest Land, a world invented by Toriyama.
