Despite being R18. Why did this ultimately depressing anime become a hot topic immediately after its release? Analysis and review of the anime ‘Takopi no Gensin’

Tacopee’s hope for children. It’s said that children have “plasticity.” Like clay, they change shape when a strong force is applied, and never return to their original shape. This phrase is also the philosophy behind the Juvenile Law. Shizuka and her friends, who live in unreasonable environments and carry pain and loneliness they cannot confide in anyone about, are forced by external pressure into the mold of “misfortune.” And so, accustomed to their misfortune, they continue in the pitch black, without anyone to speak to them. Without even realizing they’d strayed, they eventually stumbled to a place of no return. There were many unchanging realities. Yet perhaps the only thing Tacopee could have done for her children was to believe in their “plasticity.”

They were not taught how to control their emotions. They grew up surrounded by pent-up emotions. Environmental factors played a significant role in their eventual straying from the path they ultimately took. If that’s so, then if they could face and engage with their respective family environments, Shizuka and Marina’s relationship would surely change. Tacopee’s final words express this hope.

The anime “Takopi no Original Sin” is a work that is filled with love and respect from all those involved. So, if you’re moved by the pure and heartfelt feelings expressed in the story, visuals, voices, music, and lyrics, I hope you take one last look at the unchanging reality.
