by Before its TV broadcast, the anime “Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX” had a movie version released nationwide that reconstructed some episodes. However, the second episode of the TV series contained a “big change” that differed from the movie version, causing a stir online.
In episode 2, the story goes back to Universal Century 0079, depicting the One Year War between the Principality of Zeon and the Earth Federation Forces. Zeon’s “Red Comet,” Char Aznable (voiced by Yuki Shin), was involved in a defense operation against the Earth Federation Forces’ attempt to drop the space fortress Solomon on the lunar city of Granada. However, during this operation, the red Gundam’s Psycommu went out of control, and Char went missing.
The story up to this point is the same as in the movie version. However, while the movie version depicted in detail from Char’s perspective what happened before and after the accident known as “Zeknova,” the TV version only roughly explained the events that occurred in the recollections of Principality of Zeon Lieutenant Colonel Sharia Bull (voiced by Shinji Kawada).
