Fujimoto Tatsuki 17-26″ is an animated adaptation of eight short stories from two volumes, “Fujimoto Tatsuki Short Story Collection 17-21” and “Fujimoto Tatsuki Short Story Collection 22-26,” which contain short stories written by Fujimoto Tatsuki between the ages of 17 and 26.
“There Were Two Chickens in the Garden,” which depicts the bond between two survivors in a world where humanity has been wiped out, is a story about a group of people who have defeated the human race. “Sasaki-kun Stopped a Bullet,” an explosion of adolescent impulses; “Love is Blind,” a sci-fi romantic comedy about love running wild on a cosmic scale; and “Shikaku,” a story of the runaway love of a screwed-up assassin girl, are all included in “17-21.”
In addition to “Mermaid Rhapsody,” which depicts the love between a boy and a mermaid played on an underwater piano, “I Woke Up and Had a Girl Disease,” a story of transcending gender boundaries to find one’s true self, “Nayuta of the Prophecy,” a tale of the rebirth of a brother and sister burdened with a cruel fate, and “My Sister’s Older Sister,” a story of the jealousy, conflict, and growth of two sisters who devote themselves to art, are included in “22-26.”
The anime adaptation will be produced by Tetsuaki Watanabe of the TV anime “Blue Lock” and the director of the film ” Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?,” who also worked on the film. Seven directors, including Nobuyuki Takeuchi of ” The Ancient Magus’ Bride” and Kazuaki Terazawa of the TV anime “The Ancient Magus’ Bride Season 2,” and six studios, including ZEXCS, Lapin Track, GRAPH77, 100studio, Studio Kafka, and PAWORKS, are participating in the project.
The voice cast boasts a diverse array of talent, including a star-studded cast including Kensho Ono, Shun Horie, Kana Hanazawa, and Tomokazu Sugita, as well as Yoichi Okano, the comedian known for being a trashy comedian. Ahead of its release, the film will be screened for a limited two-week period at nine theaters nationwide starting October 17.
The eight films will be divided into two parts, “Part 1” and “Part 2,” with four films in each.
