by It has been announced that the TV anime adaptation of “Hell Mode: A hardcore gamer becomes unrivaled in a different world with an abandoned setting,” which has been adapted into a popular light novel and comic, will be broadcast on TOKYO MX, MBS, and BS Nippon TV from January 2026.
Tamagawa Masato will serve as director, and Tanimura Daishiro will be in charge of series composition. Yokohama Animation Lab will produce it. A key visual depicting Allen, Kurena, Dogora, Cecil, and the summoned beasts as they run through the different worlds has also been released.
It was also announced that Hideo Ishikawa will play Allen’s father, Rodan, Sayaka Ohara will play his mother, Theresia, and Makoto Koichi will play his younger brother, Mash. The band “Atarayo” will perform the opening theme “Haku,” and Hana-ya will perform the ending theme “Sanctuary.”
The story is about Yamada Kenichi, an avid online gamer, who selects the highest difficulty level, “Hell Mode,” on the difficulty setting screen of a mysterious online game, and is reincarnated as a serf in another world. Reincarnated as a young boy named Allen, Kenichi uses his mysterious talent as a “summoner” to grope his way to becoming the strongest in a challenging other world. The series has sold over 2.5 million copies. Tamura Mutsumi will play Allen in the anime.
