by The opening theme for the TV anime “TRIGUN STARGAZE,” which will air on TV Tokyo from 11:00 PM on January 10, has been announced as ano’s new song “Picaresque Hero,” and the ending theme will be FOMARE’s new song ” Stardust .”
“TRIGUN STARGAZE” is the final installment of the anime series “TRIGUN STAMPEDE,” based on Yasuhiro Nightow ‘s manga “Trigun.” Set two and a half years after “TRIGUN STAMPEDE,” the story is set on the desert planet No Man’s Land and depicts the final battle between Vash the Stampede, a gunfighter who has sworn not to kill, and his brother, Millions Knives, who plots to wipe out humanity.
The opening theme, “Picaresque Hero,” was written by ano, with music and arrangement by Paledusk’s DAIDAI (G). It’s an intense, fast-paced rock tune, and ano commented, “I created a song that blends my own feelings with the work, about the destinies, philosophies, and sins each character possesses. I created this song with DAIDAI and the world of Trigun, and it’s a cool song that breathes new color into ano’s previous songs, so please look forward to it!”
Meanwhile, the ending theme, “Stardust,” is a gentle, nostalgic song that accompanies the characters as they approach the story’s conclusion. FOMARE commented, “With the theme of ‘encounters,’ ‘partings,’ and ‘friendship’ in the vast and still-endless universe, I was able to capture the intensity and sadness I felt from the original work in a fast-paced, emotional sound that is characteristic of FOMARE, and I think I was able to complete it as a precious song. When the song and the anime overlap, I think you’ll hear an even more moving worldview!”
The official trailer for the anime was released on YouTube. Ahead of the premiere, a preview screening of episodes 1-3 will be held at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku in Tokyo on January 10.
