In preparation for the broadcast of the second season of the TV anime “Funeral of Freiren ” on Friday, January 16, 2026, all 28 episodes of the first season will be re-streamed on TVer. “Eh, that’s a little scary…” Here’s Freiren with a serious expression.

“Funeral of Freiren,” written by Kanehito Yamada and illustrated by Tsukasa Abe, is a manga series of the same name currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Sunday ” (Shogakukan), which has sold over 32 million copies worldwide. Set in a world “after” heroes defeated the Demon King, the story follows Freiren, a sorcerer who has lived for over a thousand years, as she sets out on a “journey to learn about people” following the death of Himmel, the hero who once defeated the Demon King alongside her.
