Starting this fall, the broadcast slot for the TV anime “Ao no Miburo” has been decided on Saturdays at 5:30 pm on Yomiuri TV and Nippon Television networks nationwide (excluding some areas). The anime footage, character voices, and accompanying music were all revealed for the first time in the particular video released simultaneously.

This work is an animated version of the manga of the same name drawn by Tsuyoshi Yasuda and currently serialized in “Weekly Shonen Magazine.” The story is set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period. The story begins when Nio, a grandmother’s child who always has a smile on his face, meets the Mibu Roshi-gumi, the most potent group of swordsmen, who later became known as the Shinsengumi, commonly known as “Miburo.” It passionately depicts the lives of the charming characters of the Shinsengumi, a group of young people who risk their lives to fight to prevent a world of fighting.

The cast includes Shuichiro Umeda as the main character Chirinu, Chiaki Kobayashi as Hajime Saito, Shun Horie as Taro Tanaka, Yohei Azagami as Toshizo Hijikata, Kensho Ono as Souji Okita, Tomokazu Sugita and Serizawa as Isamu Kondo. Ryota Takeuchi plays the role of Kamo.

The unique video is compelling and features the facial expressions of various characters and action scenes that hint at a fierce battle. Yuki Hayashi will compose the soundtrack unveiled for the first time in this video. Hayashi, who has worked on many popular anime such as My Hero Academia” andHaikyuu!!” as a soundtrack writer, uses music to create a passionate story worldview in this work. It has also been decided that Kyoto City, where the work is set, will be sponsored. The anime “Ao no Mibro” will be broadcast on Yomiuri TV and Nippon Television every Saturday at 5:30 pm starting this fall (excluding some areas).
